Service Description
At South Downs Honey, we offer a unique experience for those who purchase our Meet the Bees session. You will have the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of bees as you join us for a hands-on beekeeping session. Get up close and personal with our colonies, witness hive inspections, and learn about the inner workings of a bee hive. Our knowledgeable beekeeper will guide you through the process, pointing out honey stores, brood and pollen stores, and hopefully, a chance to meet the queen bee herself. Immerse yourself in the world of beekeeping with South Downs Honey. After the inspection we will sit down and have a picnic lunch or afternoon tea of local produce. Where we can talk about everything we have done and seen. The session will last between 2 and 3 hours. You will need to bring boots but a bee suit and gloves are included and we will take photos and video as a memento of your time with the bees. Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule please give 48 hours notice, If you give 48 hours notice and we are not able to reschedule the Experience we will give you a 100% refund or credit, If the cancellation is with 24 hours notice we will give a 50% refund or credit, No shows will be charged at the full rate. We will try to give a minimum of 48 hours notice of Cancellation or rescheduling due to weather conditions if we are not able to reschedule the experience due to weather conditions we will refund or credit 100%. We cannot be liable for bee stings as this is a common part of Beekeeping. If you are allergic to Bee stings please do not book these experiences.
